Some New Yorkers would rather
walk right into you than wait the second it takes
to divert a collision
if you were a car
if you had a license to drive that body
you'd be wrong
we'd have an accident
are there rules of the pedestrian road?
right side, left side
turning into oncoming traffic
legs twisted mind wandering
now adding to the list of obstacles
multi-tasking, cell phone chatting, texting eyes downward
no seatbelt in this commute
